Spanish and Flamenco Courses

Normally, the courses are made up of lessons, and not hours, a lesson doesn't necessarily always rank as an hour (i.e. 60 minutes). In any case, the number of minutes per lesson is usually shown on the website. The exact number of hours shown on the website may be somewhat reduced, especially on the Spanish language courses, due to the initial level test which usually takes place on the first Monday of the course. The hours of the courses can also be occasionally reduced due to national or regional holidays.
When a minimum level is required for undertaking a course, the students are responsible for meeting the level requirements. If upon arrival, the student does not have the suitable level, HolaSevilla or the School directly reserves the right to change the course type accordingly.
HolaSevilla does not accept any responsibility for lessons missed due to these reasons and no refunds will be given where lessons are missed due to testing or national/regional holidays.

HolaSevilla Accommodation Services

HolaSevilla offers through its Accommodation Department a “contact service” between people offering single and double rooms in shared apartments, residences, and guest houses, as well as holiday apartments, and people looking for this kind of accommodation.

Minimum stay:

  1. Our single and double rooms in shared apartments are rented for a minimum of 2 weeks.
  2. Our single or double rooms in residences and guest houses are rented for a minimum of 1 week.
  3. Our holiday apartments are normally rented for a minimum of 3 nights.

N.B. During Semana Santa and Feria the minimum stay policy changes and customers are advised about this when requesting their accommodation.

Exceptionally, if a client wishes to book accommodation for shorter than the minimum established period, and only if the property owner accepts this, he/she will be charged with the price of the minimum stay.

Maximum stay:

  1. The maximum stay for all the rooms (single & double) in shared apartments is normally 12 weeks
  2. In residences and guest houses the length of the stay can be up to 24 weeks.
  3. As for the holiday apartments, the prices of the apartments have been established for short stays, 4 weeks maximum.


Exceptionally, upon request, and after discussing it with the owner, we may be able to arrange, with a special price, a longer stay than the ones mentioned above.

Terms and Conditions for holiday apartments during Semana Santa and Feria.

Please, find below the terms and conditions that apply exclusively for the rental of holiday apartments during Semana Santa and Feria, for all the other things not included here, the general terms and conditions apply.

Conditions for rentals during Semana Santa and Feria


Payments and bookings:

To place a booking during Semana Santa and/or Feria a deposit of 50% of the total rental price will be required in advance.

Please, note that the apartment will not be considered officially booked until the above mentioned initial payment has been received.

The outstanding 50% is due upon arrival when you are handled the keys for the apartment.

Cancellation policy:

  • For cancellations made, after having paid the 50% of the total rental cost 8 weeks before arrival, at the latest, 30% of the total cost will be refunded.
  • For cancellations made, after having paid the 50% of the total rental cost, between 8 and 4 weeks before arrival, 15% of the total cost will be refunded.
  • For cancellations made, after having paid the 50% of the total rental cost, less than 4 weeks before arrival, there will be no refund.
  • For cancellations made after arrival, having paid the accommodation arrangement fee and the total rental cost (100%), there will not be refund.

Note: Any charges and commissions that may apply for possible refunds will be at the customer's own cost.

Confirmation of Booking

We recommend bookings of courses and accommodation to be done well in advance, as vacancies on courses and accommodation are limited. Eight weeks in advance is normally enough time for us to be able to organise your course, accommodation and any other service that you may require. However, please keep in mind that in cases where the student may require a visa to come to Spain, a longer period may be needed in advance to handle the registration and visa process; also, please keep in mind that certain times of the year such as spring are peak times and may require bookings with longer notice in advance.

A non-refundable deposit needs to be paid in advance as a part of the total rent of any accommodation you reserve with us, independently of the type of program and/or accommodation that you book, unless otherwise specified. The deposit for each program and/or accommodation is approximately 20% of the total amount of the prices, which are published on our website.

Once you have paid the deposit for the accommodation your booking will be a preliminary registration until you receive a final confirmation from us. In case of unforeseen problems with availability the client will be informed immediately and alternative options, if there are any, will be discussed. If the client is not interested in alternative options we offer, in this special case we will refund the deposit to the client.

You will receive 2 confirmations: The 1st confirmation, once we have received your deposit and in a 2nd confirmation you will receive, with enough time before your departure, your travel information and the addresses of the school/s and your accommodation details, unless your booking is a "last minute" registration, in that case we may confirm everything at once. In any case, we strongly recommend placing your booking well in advance.

Exchange of Contract

Any quotation or estimate we may send you at your request is only an offer and not a contract or agreement with us. Upon confirmation of your acceptance for one of our programmes, by telephone, internet or email, you will have entered into an agreement between yourself and HolaSevilla. This agreement will only become binding once the agreed deposit or payment has been received and confirmed by HolaSevilla.

Prices

The prices for our programmes and services can be found in our website. Prices are given in Euros. In the case of small price changes due to circumstances outside our control (e.g. unexpected last minute changes by the service or programme providers), we reserve the right to charge the additional costs subsequently. Should the additional costs amount to be more than 10%, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 5 days after receipt of the notification without any further obligation.

Payment Policy

Once we receive your booking request you will receive a payment request from us.

A deposit (as part of the total cost) of approximately 20% is required in advance in order to proceed with the booking of accommodation and/or Spanish and/or Flamenco programmes. Once the deposit has been received, we will send you the final confirmations of your booking(s).
We recommend booking as early as possible to avoid availability problems and late charges.

Accommodation: Once you have placed a booking of an accommodation through our online reservation system the following time limits for the deposit payment apply:
If your payment mode is Credit Card via PayPal, the transaction needs to be done instantly.
If your payment mode is Wire-Transfer, a proof of payment needs to be sent to us within 2 “working” days at the latest.

If the above mentioned time limits are not followed by the client, Holasevilla can not guarantee the booking anymore and keeps the right to cancel the booking if there are no news from the client.

Spanish and/or Flamenco Courses: Once we have received your booking form we will send you a payment request via email within working days.

A deposit (as part of the total cost) of approximately 20-25% is required in advance in order to proceed with the booking of the Spanish and/or Flamenco programmes.

If your payment mode is Credit Card via PayPal, the transaction needs to be done within 2 “working” days maximum.

If your payment mode is Wire-Transfer, a proof of payment needs to be sent within 2 “working” days at the latest.

If the above mentioned time limits are not followed by the client, Holasevilla can not guarantee the booking anymore and keeps the right to cancel the booking if there are no news from the client. If the time allowed for payment is not met, HolaSevilla is entitled to withdraw from the contract while charging the full cost of cancellation.

Once the deposit has been received, we will send you the final confirmations of your booking(s).

We recommend booking as early as possible to avoid availability problems and late charges.

Cancellation Policy

For all our services and programmes (Accommodation, Spanish courses, Flamenco courses, etc) in addition to the deposits that are not refundable, the following cancellation costs are charged unless otherwise specified:

  • from 8 - 4 weeks before the course and/or accommodation starting date, a cancellation charge of 150 EUR out the total cost of the course and out of the total cost of the accommodation
  • from 4 - 2 weeks before the course and/or accommodation starting date, a cancellation charge of 25% out the total cost of the course and out of the total cost of the accommodation. The same cancellation costs apply for a denial of visa by the representative authority (Embassy, Consulate) in the country of origin or residence of the prospective student. - less than 2 weeks before the course starting date, a maximum charge of 50% of all tuition and accommodation fees
  • from 2 weeks before the course and/or accommodation starting date, a cancellation charge of 50% out the total cost of the course and out of the total cost of the accommodation
  • less than 3 days before the course and/or accommodation starting date a cancellation charge of 75% out the total cost of the course and out of the total cost of the accommodation
  • after starting a course and/or accommodation, if a client needs to terminate his/her course or accommodation prematurely no refunds will be made unless otherwise indicated
  • no refunds are made for late arrivals.


Refunds will be made within 4 weeks, if not before, of Holasevilla receiving written (e.g. email) notification of the cancellation including, if requested by Holasevilla, written documentation e.g. medical certificates.

If any remaining funds are to be transferred back to the client due to a cancellation, the client remains responsible for all money transfer fees.

N.B. for renting the holiday apartments during special times of the year (i.e. Semana Santa and Feria) special booking procedures and cancellation policy apply and the client will be informed of this on each particular booking.

Changes to bookings by the client

You may, at the discretion of HolaSevilla, and always that there is no problem of availability, change details of your reservation or postpone the starting date of your programme and/or accommodation, provided that HolaSevilla receives written notice from the customer at least 8 weeks before the accommodation and/or programme starting date.
Amendments and postponements done with short notice, less than 8 weeks before the starting date of the course and/or accommodation, could be accepted but may carry extra costs for you. To elude having these extra costs we recommend you to avoid last minute changes on your reservation.

Amendments and postponements done with less than 8 weeks before the starting date of the course and/or accommodation are subject to a 50 EUR extra charge. However, HolaSevilla may withdraw this charge at their sole discretion, if the changes or postponement result in the extension or upgrading of a course or accommodation.

 

Complaints

Complaints regarding Flamenco and/or Spanish Courses with or without accommodation:

Should you have difficulties with the school, accommodation provided by the school directly (not through us), or teacher, first contact the School management.

If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction, get in touch with us immediately by email or telephone and not after returning home.

Notwithstanding the provisions of this agreement excluding legal obligation or liability on its part, nevertheless Holasevilla will in the event of a complaint by a customer against our service provider in connection with its preferred course or associated accommodation, use its best endeavours to rectify the situation to the reasonable satisfaction of the customer provided that such complaint was notified to the appropriate persons in the school as soon as reasonably practicable.

Complaints can only be properly addressed when made before termination of the program.

Complaints regarding accommodation only:

As mentioned in the above information about our services, HolaSevilla offers through its Accommodation Department a “contact service” between people offering single and double rooms in shared apartments, residences, and guest houses, as well as holiday apartments, and people looking for this kind of accommodation.

In no moment, will Holasevilla have any responsibility or be liable for any dispute that may arise in regards to the accommodation between the people renting the room or holiday apartment and the people that rented it from them through our contact service.

Should you have difficulties with your accommodation host or property owner, please, discuss the matter with him/her first.
If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can always get in touch with us immediately by email or telephone to check if we have any alternative accommodation available for you to move to at extra cost.

If you leave the accommodation where you are staying due to possible discrepancies with your host or accommodation provider, any refund will be at the hosts or accommodation providers discretion. Holasevilla is not empowered to refund you the money you paid your host or renter upon arrival.

Liability

Holasevilla is not liable if the negligence or failure to fulfil the contract due to failure by the clients, unforeseen occurrences and occurrences which could not be averted by a third party, Act of God or an event which Holasevilla or the service provider could not have foreseen or averted despite all care.

Insurances

You are responsible for sufficient accident and medical insurance coverage. It is advisable to adapt accident and health insurances to the needs of the country you are travelling to and also to take out a theft and luggage insurance.

Entry Regulations

You are responsible for the acquirement and fulfilment of passport, visa and health regulations. In case of a visa denial by the Spanish Immigration Office in your home country, any registration fees, accommodation arrangement fees, and a maximum of 25% of the program cost will not be reimbursed. The remaining tuition fees paid will be transferred back to the customer with transaction fees on behalf of the customer.

Court + Jurisdiction

In relation to yourself and Holasevilla, Spanish law is exclusively applicable and Court jurisdiction is in Seville, Spain.
This agreement is legally binding once the registration form is completed and agreed by the client.
